Alexander McQueen Obsession

Even besides the extravagance a luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen's creations have, they still respect femininity and glamour in their own way. By designing the clothes that aren't loved by masses and not drowning in a vast sea of uniformity and monotony, they placed the brand on top of the fashion industry in the last ten years. We used to admire Lee Alexander McQueen, the man who created the brand, and now we glorify perspective Sarah Burton who kept the company one of the biggest fashion names even after the tragic death of a fashion giant Alexander.

Accessories designed by McQueen are probably the most famous and most wanted ones among fashion circles. Skull embellishments make their shoes and clutches even more interesting, intense and unusual. Very high, with lots of  spirals, straps, with many special details, these heels classified their fashion designs into arts. Their clutches are world famous, they represent luxury, glamour and good taste in fashion. Alexander was the only one brave enough to present women's dark side as the bright one.

The models on the catwalk look very futuristic with a hint of vamp, and their dresses are simply adored by fashion experts and style icons, such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Ashley Olsen, Victoria Beckham, Katherine Middleton, Michelle Obama, Cheryl Cole, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and so on. The silhouettes Alexander created have been credited for adding a sense of fantasy, extravagance and rebellion to fashion. Alexander McQueen scarf bearing the skull print is also a celebrity must-have and was copied around the world.

The biggest admirers of Alexander McQueen designs are surely Lady Gaga and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. Kate often chooses their most glamorous dresses for gala events she attends. Both Kate and her sister Pippa Middleton wore McQueen gowns on the royal wedding.

The runway on McQueen shows is always arranged with a dose of futuristics and antique at the same time. Special effects and lots of LED displays symbolize respecting novelty, and the sculptures and antique monuments symbolize tribute to archaic eras.
Some of McQueen's accomplishments included being one of the youngest designers to achieve the title "British Designer of the Year", which he won four times between 1996 and 2003. One of his dresses was listed among  "100 Best Dresses of the Decade" by InStyle magazine.

However, one thing is for sure: this designer left an indelible mark on the fashion industry. He started a new epoch of fashion followed by futuristics, controversy and a completely new version of glamour. We thank him for making the pieces of fashion art worth admiring, and thanks to Sarah who successfully continues the tradition of the brand.
